I adore this place. Only thing I don't like was I couldn't reserve a cabin here, a week in advance, for just one night. Broke my heart but I'll still be back.
Mimosa Landing Campground is overlooking the Pearl River in Columbia, MS. It is a campground with lots of trees, which is the best and worst factors. There is lots of shade but getting into some back in sites can be a challenge. We had site 53 which was great. The two sites next to us have been abandoned due to erosion so we had a very open space overlooking the river. We had to back in between two trees using narrow roads. There are pull through sites. The road entering the park is narrow and the park roads are narrow and hard-packed gravel. There is a pool, pavilion, playground, sand court, laundry, office with limited supplies and dock. Our site had a picnic table and fire ring. Angela, the manager, is friendly and helpful.
Sitting here on the porch of one of the cabins looking at the Pearl River and listening to the calm swells as it riches along the banks. Birds chirping and squirrels running is such a beautiful sight and sound at the Mimosa Landing Campground. The staff are friendly and the location is picturesque! You would enjoy being here in Columbia, MS. Lots to do around town while you visit. Even if your from here, this is a great short getaway location. Love it!
Can't wait to get back to Mimosa landing camp ground. My wife and I come from California. heard of this place from other campers while traveling the United States. Loved it the staff is very friendly. Camp ground is clean with plenty of room. Will be visiting Mimosa Landing again soon.
Really nice quiet laid back campground on the Pearl River. Reasonably priced. Clean showers and a nice pool. People at the campground and in town are extremely friendly. Not a lot to do in the area, but a nice place to relax.
